Jocelyn Royalty is a poet and short fiction writer from New Haven, Connecticut. She is currently pursuing a BFA in creative writing and a BS in psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington. Previously, she attended the Educational Center for the Arts where she also specialized in writing. Her work touches on the mundanity and beauty of American love and life, and attempts to explore the complex inner-workings of human relationships through an imagistic and sometimes surreal lens. She is passionate about community gardening, writing-based therapeutic methodology, and traveling via Razor scooter. She hopes to someday work as a poetry professor and to own several large dogs.
